Easy to use, works great.
I have combination hair, meaning it's really wavy in the back (basically looks like it just came out of a braid) and less so in the front. I bought this to try and get my hair evenly wavy all around. This product does not disappoint. The waves are more subtle rather than crimped- think 20s finger curls rather than tight, defined "s" curls- but it was exactly what I was looking for. Heats quickly, the barrels are solid and it doesn't feel cheap even though it's a less expensive waver. I say go for it.

Great Product for Waves!
I bought this to use on my daughter's hair. She has really long, thick hair. If you pick up the hair sections and use the iron, starting at the top,going down the hair shaft, it really does make large waves! I held the iron closed on each section, for a count of five. We put a little hair spray on it and it stayed for days! I wasn't sure if the weight of her long hair would hold the waves, but they did! It's worth the buy. It took about 40 minutes to do her entire head, so plan ahead...time wise!

Great!!
This was a great purchase! I also have a triple barrel iron. I got this one because I wanted bigger, beachier waves. This works perfect and is easier to use. I have very thin, super straight hair. Usually, my hair does not hold a curl at all. With this, the waves last all day and night and even look good the next day. It is very quick to do and makes my hair look so much thicker. I did my sister's the hair the other day and now she wants one for Christmas.

It works, but requires little practice
I got this from the nearby drug store for about $17. The first time I used it, i thought it did not work and wanted to return it back. But then I thought i'd give it another shot.Things to remember -- Dry your hair completely (as for any style). If it is greasy/oily, wash it.- Use a heat protectant spray/lotion. I used Chi Heat protectant spray.- It takes some time to heat up. They say it takes 60 seconds, But leave it on for about 3-5 minutes before use. This is key. The first time, i just let it stay on for 60 seconds and it did not give me any waves.- It does not get too hot even on high (I like it since it wont damage my hair as much) but it can burn your scalp or ears, so be careful. I always use on High.- Untangle and section your hair well for best results. You'll figure this out after you use it couple of times.- Start from the roots, leaving about an inch from the scalp, to avoid burning and for good styling effect.- Tip:...

Works great on my hair
I have thick, naturally wavy hair. All except the front, that is. The front of my hair tends to have very loose waves as opposed to the rest of my hair. Have been using this on the front and it works great. Creates a similar wave pattern to my natural wave. And mine certainly gets hot enough to hold the wave all day. I use a thermal protectant before using the waver and then a glossing/finishing cream afterward and get excellent results. And the price is great, too!

I really like the style that Lindsay Lohan wears her hair.. Madonna wears her hair the same way.. Great!!!!
I love this triple barrel waver! I have super straight hair & normally curls fall out in about 3 hours time. This, however, well over 12 hours. The only fall back I found is it takes a while to reach its full potential heat wise. I would say it took mine about 5 minutes to heat up completely. Its easy to use and the outcome looks so cute & natural. Many people actually thought I permed my hair.

EXACTLY what I was looking for
I wish I had this waver years ago. I just used it for the first time and I LOVE it.I really like the wavy look I get when I put my hair in braids overnight and take them out in the morning. Of course, that method is safer for your hair because you're not scorching it all the time, but I am not very good at making decent braids in my hair, especially for the back of my head. After I take the braids out, I always feel like the back is uneven and looks bad.I began researching 3-barrel irons to find something to give me the after-braid look. So many of them were reviewed as "big, clunky" and for "long hair only." I have just above the shoulder-length hair, so I knew I had to find something smaller, but I didn't want a crimper because those make a funky 80s hairdo. I had narrowed it down to a few irons, and I took a chance on this one- it did not have any reviews. My wife purchased this item. Her review follows:I purchased this item based on the review that claimed it worked on above-the-shoulder hair. While this is the first waver I have purchased and cannot say this is a unique feature, I can attest that it works well on short (approx. chin length) hair.I have slightly wavy hair that I wanted to give a more uniform texture and this waver creates a much more natural look than curling iron ringlets. For me, it is quick and easy to use because I am just touching up already wavy hair, but I can see that it could take a while to use for an individual that is more concerned with waving every section perfectly. My hair is much less frizzy when I use this, but product must be used with it to define the waves and prevent it from becoming too poofy.The biggest con (the reason I gave 4 stars) is that because of the button placement, I tend to accidentally turn it off while using it even when I am careful.
