Great!
I was a little skeptical at first, with the straightener being so affordable, but it has surpassed my expectations. I had previously bought a Wigo for $150 but after it died a month later, I swore that I would never purchase another straightener...that was until I got a cute cut that looked better with straighter hair. It has a great temperature dial control and heats up quickly and evenly. My hair is African American and I do have a relaxer and the iron works great for it. The only draw back is its pink color, but if you can get over that, then you're set.

Great flat iron!
This flat iron was a gift for my daughter but I have one just like it and it's still working great after 5 years. It's a perfect size in my opinion and heats up fast. I recommend it!

I love it!!!!
This flat iron works great! I loooooove that its pink!! This is the only flat iron that I have seen that can lock close, very convenient when storing. The plates did get a little scratched from use, however it is better than turning colors like the traditional gold/bronze color plates. I would recommend this flat iron for anyone who wants to treat their hair right! It leaves my hair and my daughters hair soft, smooth and shiny!! Oh did I mention that the price was excellent!!!

We originally ordered the CHI from the above vendor, received it promptly and it was as advertised. However, when it was first used, the CHI did not maintain temperature and a defective switch was detected. After contacting AM Health & Beauty on a Sunday, they replied within a couple of hours and offered to refund or replace the tool. As we just wanted a replacement, they offered to ship us a new one and enclose a return label so we would not have to pay to return the defective product! Love my hair straightner
I absolutely love this straightner:* gets hot super fast* makes hair very straight in what stroke* fast and easy to use* love the bag it comes with so when I unplug it I can put it away w/o waiting for it to cool off.One thing I wish was that I could figure out how to use it to make curls. After reading many many enthusiastic reviews about this flat iron I decided to give it a try. I have long very curly biracial hair that's thick but not coarse (Type 3B). For me, this flat iron works *really well.* This is my first flat iron purchase and I did TONS of googling before buying this one.PROS:(1) It's crazy inexpensive! (2) A buttload of temp settings - most I'll never use (3) It gets hot fast, and reaches very high temps so that I only have to do one or two passes over any 1 - 1.5 in section of hair.(4) It's super lightweight so my arms never get tired during the ~40 minute straightening process. And (5) the cord swivels out of the way which is a nice feature. (6) Can do some minimal styling like curling hair ends and adding wave.Now for the CONS: (1) the plates are only ceramic coated. The Conair brand products generally work well and this product is not an exception. It straightens quickly and quite well for having such small plates. Does what it should
When it first arrived, I was a little taken aback at how light this unit is, and I originally thought that light might equal cheap and flimsy, but I've been very pleased with it so far. The light weight makes it effortless to use, the long swivel cord is great, and it has an adjustable range of temperatures so I don't fry my fine, color-treated hair. Not all flat irons have adjustable temperatures, so that's what sold me on this model. I'm styling impaired, so I need all the help I can get!**Update 4/17/2012**I never thought this iron would last this long, but it's still going strong. Definitely a good purchase. Top to learn more

Very nice. Heats up quickly and works well without the smell of burning hair. I like that the cord swivels and stays out of the way.I think I should have bought the wider one, 1" is perhaps too narrow for my hair, but that's my fault. If I feel I need a wider one, I would buy the Solia again.Traveler warning: This iron only operates on U.S. current, it does not have a higher setting for use overseas. Even with a converter, it does not work overseas, so don't bother to pack it.
