CHI Ceramic Infrared Hair Dryer
My husband bought this for me as a gift when my $10 hair dryer died. I had never heard of this hair dryer until it showed up at our door. It's by far the best hair dryer ever. I have very thick hair and with this dryer it's takes no more than five minutes to dry. It's amazing and it leaves my hair soft and shiny.

Great!
I dont have this dryer yet but my fiance's mother is a hair stylist and uses one. Its quite and it makes my hair so soft and shinny! One drawback is that it takes a little longer to dry then my other dryer. Its worth to wait because my other dryer dries my hair out. Cant wait till mine gets here!

Love | Hate Relationship
I have a massive love hate relationship with my CHI dryer. On the one hand, I can't live without it. I'm willing to pay the price for the sheer fact that I can blow dry my hair a lot faster than with other dryers. But, I seem to be having to purchase a new CHI once a year. Something always goes wrong. For example, it was taking longer than normal to dry my hair and I realized that the cold button must be permanently enabled, thus not allowing for the regular hot air stream. My boyfriend, thank god, figured out a way to disable the cold button, which is good but now I can't use the cold shot button. I'd be very happy if CHI can figure out a way to make these things more durable.

PERFECT HAIR FOREVER!!
I just bought a chi.. this chi to be exact. It's the goddess of all flat irons. I had a cheap Wal Mart hair iron. I used to have to wash my hair, take it into section, blow dry w/ a round brush THEN go over every piece of hair w/ my cra**y flat iron, again and again. And when I went outside, if it was rainy or humid, forget it, my hair would fuzz out all over again. I don't have curly curly hair more like really thick, frizzy, wavy sorta curly but not hair. Totally NOT cute. With the chi, my hair is super soft and looks like I was born with perfectly straight beautiful shiny hair. HA! Now I shower, towel dry and take the chii to it. It takes about 15 min. STAYS ALL DAY LONG and feels really great. I don't even need to use any anti frizz serum or anything like that. It is a bit pricey but worth every penny.

It is great! and I'm not an expert doing my hair...
I got it and couldn't wait to use it, so the first time I used it my hair looks great. People at work notice the difference. They thought I went to the Beauty Salon. There is a world of difference between a cheap one and THE CHI. Ok, so for the "no warranty issue", Amazon sells it for $94.00, other places sell it for $135.00. If you have a problem with it you can mail it along with $35.00 and they will fix or replace (per the website), so I took the risk, and anyway, the warranty is only for a year, so after that you have to pay the extra $35.00 if it breaks. Mine works great.

Not As Good as the Farouk Deep Brilliance
I purchased a Farouk Deep Brilliance Ceramic flat iron from Amazon a few years ago and was absolutely blown away by the quality of the flat iron. My Farouk Deep Brilliance is still working perfectly but recently I felt that I needed a backup iron in case something happened to mine (I've dropped it a few times). I was thrilled when Farouk introduced the Chi Deep Brilliance Titanium iron at such a great price and I purchased it right away. I was concerned about the titanium plates (I've only used ceramic plates) but I actually contacted Farouk directly before I purchased the iron and they told me that this iron was the new and improved Farouk Deep Brilliance. The Deep Brilliance is a Farouk line made especially for ethnic hair (I'm African American).Let's start with the pros:1. This Chi Deep Brilliance heats up pretty quickly...in just under two minutes. After purchasing numerous dryers and returning them for various reasons, my hairdresser recommended this one as she bought one. I love it. It is low on noise. Others I tried were so loud they hurt my ears while I was drying my hair. It does not blow too hard, blowing your hair all over the place. It seems to dry it faster and reduces the frizziness. The heat is hot enough but not so hot it burns your face or scalp. Lastly, it is not too heavy. I bought one for my daugher also, and she really likes it. Hopefully it will last a long time.

Hair actually looks better
My hairstylist recommended this hair dryer--it is the one she uses on my hair at the salon. My hair always looks better after she styles it--and I use the same shampoo and brush that she does--that meant it was time to invest in the dryer. The dryer is pretty quiet and light. Seems like it is made well enough--must be since my stylist has been using it everyday (multiple times) for more than 3 years. I looked at upgrading since there are newer CHI's out there--but this one was cheaper and I knew for sure that it would do a good job. I don't regret not getting one of their fancier more powerful models--I'm not trying to fry my hair, just dry and shape it. After my other professional hairdryer died (did a good job--but got crushed in an accident), I began using a $20 cheapie--what a mistake.
