Great Flat Iron!
I first read about this flat iron in Good Housekeeping magazine. They claimed that it performed at 100% in all of their testing. They put hair samples in a humidity controlled room for 15 hours and measured the frizz among samples treated with frizz serum and a regular flat iron and this iron with no product. This product by itself won by far. That was quite impressive so I decdided to give it a try. I bought mine at Target for $49.99.First, let me say that I have very fine textured hair that is a little below my shoulders so it is pretty easy to straighten with any flat iron. My trouble has been that after an hour (even with product & hairspray) it will become wavy again. There was definitely a noticeable difference using this tool. My hair did not frizz and stayed much straighter for a longer periid of time.Also worth noting, it heats up in about 60 seconds and beeps to let you know it has reached the desired setting. Love it!
I have pretty curly hair but I thought I would give this a try after seeing the reviews in Good Housekeeping (got the seal of approval). I had trouble finding it b/c everyone was sold out of it but I got it today and so far I love it. I straightened all of my hair in less than 10 minutes from being curly. I must add that I was in the steamy bathroom while my shower was running and it did not phase my hair. I gets supper hot, I love the digital display, and the power off function is great so you don't turn it off by mistake. It also gets hot really fast-almost immediately. I think it is certainly worth the $50; especially considering the Chi is $100+.

*Based on a study performed in October 2008 by TRI Princeton, studying five independent tresses each of hair styled with control and S-9951. Curly hair tresses were straightened with a Remington control hair straightener and the Remington S-9951 hair straightener. Those tresses were then placed in a controlled high humidity environment and, using photographic and image analysis techniques, the tresses were monitored for reversion back to their naturally curly state.
